Jeanine Cummins is an American author. She has written four books; A memoir called A Rip in Heaven and three novels, The Outside Boy, The Crooked Branch and American Dirt.
At this festive time of year, a number of the broadsheets are publishing their favourite books of the year. It is a nice way to look back on books that you may have read, been amazed by, thrilled by, terrified by and truly loved.
And just like that we have finished with June. This year is now seriously starting to fly. As I write, England has beaten Germany in the Euros 2020 (no, that's not a typo -the result or the year)
As the end of lockdown approaches, one of the things I have particularly enjoyed and hope to continue is our family book group. We don't meet at set times, but as and when we have all read the book.
