Jo Thomas worked for many years as a reporter and producer, including time at Radio 4's Woman's Hour and Radio 2's The Steve Wright Show. Jo's debut novel, The Oyster Catcher, was a runaway bestseller and won both the RNA Joan Hessayon Award and the Festival of Romance Best eBook Award. Her recent book Escape to the French Farmhouse was a #1 bestselling eBook and in every one of her novels Jo loves to explore new countries and discover the food produced there, both of which she thoroughly enjoys researching. Jo lives in Pembrokeshire with her husband and three children, where cooking and gathering around the kitchen table are a hugely important and fun part of their family life.
Confession time folks, I don't actually read a book a day in December, instead I read Christmas books throughout the year. It's almost got to be a bit of a problem. I actually had another Jo Thomas all lined up
Do not adjust your TV sets everyone. It is a Saturday and I am coming to you with a new review and an announcement. #12booksofchristmas is back!!!!!

I'm only 3 days late in wrapping up my August reads, namely because I was so keen to include Malibu Rising which was the perfect summer read. August has been a lovely month for us.
I read this novel whilst on holiday and wrote my notes up on the way back home. A very bumpy train made all the notes indecipherable, but I battled through my scrawlings to write this post.

At this time of year, I would be thinking of all those delicious beach reads that I would like to take on holiday. I enjoy perusing the cheery covers and choosing the ones that best appeal. This year, things are different.
