Autumn 2022 Wrap-Up
I was having a chat with my colleagues at work the other day and we cannot believe how quick this year is going. It doesn't feel like 2 minutes since we were looking at the spring bulbs coming out and wondering what to do with that many daffodils. (I swear if Wales ever ran short of these flowers for St David's Day, just come and pinch some from our garden we have thousands). And here we are at the end of Autumn. Bake-Off has finished, the leaves have now dropped, and we have frost on the ground and misty mornings. I love this season. It's the season where it's acceptable to have lots of twinkly lights and candles.
This Autumn has been busy - a wonderful visit to Edinburgh, seeing seals and exploring the city, celebrating a year in our house with a gorgeous meal out, seeing friends for our annual visit to Wentworth.

Year to Date
52 read. I've met my reading challenge for the year which was 50. Woohoo! Go me.
Favourite Book
I refuse to go all X factor judge here and draw things out here. Lessons In Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. Outstanding.
5 Star Reads
3 lots of 5 Star Reads this time - Lessons in Chemistry, The Reading Rooms and One by One.
Big Read Challenge
Officially pants at this at the moment. Still 20/100. I'm hoping the winter months will see a return to reading classics.
To Be Read
I've had a bit of an epiphany with this one. I really don't enjoy having a massive To Be Read list. I feel like I always have to read something from my list, when in actual fact I want to re-read a beloved book from my bookshelves.
Looking Forward To
Well Christmas of course!!! We've already done a couple of Christmas activities and are looking forward to plenty more. With that in mind there will be a Christmassy review tomorrow.
