Book Chat #8 - November 2020
Special Announcement
In the words of Noddy Holder 'IT'S CHRISTMMAAAAAS!!!!! and I thought what better way to get into the Christmas spirit than have a little fun on the blog by reading a lot of Christmas books. Over the month of December, I will be reading and reviewing 12 of my favourite Christmas books which I have imaginatively called 12 Books of Christmas. This will start on Thursday 3rd December and my aim is to post 4 reviews each week. (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) until Christmas week when I'll post the final 2 (with me so far). I hope you find something you fancy reading from this collection, who knows it may give you some ideas for Father Christmas or Jólabókaflóð.
In the meantime, let's get back to business and wrap up November.
Books Read and Reviewed in November 2020
The Winter Garden by Heidi Swain
The Stand by Stephen King
Pine by Francine Toon
The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger
Fifty Fifty by Steve Cavanagh
Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo
Fried Eggs with Chopsticks by Polly Evans
A Mrs Miracle Christmas by Debbie Macomber
5 Star Reads
Only one 5 Star read this month and this was one of my favourite books The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger. I love this one!
I only managed to read one book from the list but it was a HUGE book and one which I have not read before. This takes my total to 10 out of the 100 books.
Good Reads Challenge
I've read 72 out of my 100 Book Challenge. I don't think I'm going to hit this target, but I'll do my best!
To Be Read
I think for next month I'll do a count of how many books I have to read. I blame it all on Instagram and the Pageturners email.
Looking forward to.....
Well Christmas obviously! I love Christmas and I am looking forward to lazy days with copious cups of coffee, chocolate and books. I've asked Father Christmas for a couple (more like 20) books. I swear my Christmas list was just books and perfume this year.
