January 2021 Wrap-up
I clearly did not get the memo about Christmas being over because out of the 8 books I read and reviewed in January, only one was not a Christmas book. As I sit here writing this, I am reading another Christmas novel and have at least 2 Christmas books on my kindle. What can I say it's an obsession and I am obsessed. I hope your January has been OK. I don't tend to make New Years Resolutions at the start of the year, but try and take the time for a bit of rest and recuperation. This culminated in a much needed break for a week to celebrate my Husband's birthday. It was very relaxing and I think he enjoyed his special 'lockdown birthday'. So only 9 days late, here is my January wrap-up. Missed a wrap up...?

Big Read Challenge
I'm re-reading the BBC Big Read Challenge in and amongst my normal reads, and am now up to 11 books out of the 100. I'm nearly there. hahaha.
Goodreads Challenge
I've set myself a Goodreads challenge of 100 books this year again. I managed 72 last year, but this year I am determined to read 100. So far I'm at 8 books.
To Be Read
At the start of the year, I had a mini-sort out of my books and a re-jiffle. This has made me a whole lot better about things. So I have 12 paper books to read and 21 Books to read on the kindle. My big plan is to make a good headway into these books this year. But it's hard....so hard not to buy lovely books.
Looking Forward To...
On Instagram, I am currently participating in a couple of mini-challenges. My first is a buddy read of Beartown by Fredrik Bakman with my good friend @xrubyx and I am participating in a #missreadreadalong2021 where we read the novels set in Thrush Green through the year. My final challenge is one I am an admin for, and which is very close to my heart. This is to read the 4 seasons of Rosamund Pilcher. So to read one of her books for each season. I will talk about this a lot more on the blog and will review the books as I go. Exciting times for me!

I hope February is going well for you. As I sit here, I am looking out on a very snowy day. Yep folks, Yorkshire has snow....again.
