Today is the last day of October, I am currently on holiday. The weather is damp and slightly dingy, but Autumn has her finery on. The leaves are outstanding this year, the most vibrant colours of fire. October has been busy, but also very enjoyable. We've enjoyed meals out with good friends, visited Wentworth garden centre and felt very Christmassy indeed and we celebrated friendsgiving with a group of friends in the village. Best of all, I've felt that I have leant into Autumn.

Reading wise, it has been good. I'm trying to read more of what I actually fancy, instead of commitments and there have been some good reads this month. So let's wrap up Autumn on the blog shall we?

5 Star Reads

I had 2 5 Star Reads this month. The Richard Osman whiich was just wonderful and made me cry. And the Veronica Henry which was a case of right book, right time and has made me really want to go back to Paris again.

24 out of 100 books read. I have got another BBC Big Read book underway but I am losing the will with it if I'm honest.

According to my To Be Read post published at the start of September, I only have 20 books to read. As I fall off my chair laughing, I should probably confess now that this list was correct at the time of writing for about 3 minutes, and events have moved on somewhat shall we say.

Looking Forward to

More of the same. I love Autumn and the lead into Christmas. I'm very much looking forward to reading some Christmas books ready for December. At the time of writing I have started reading for #12booksofchristmas but am not sure if I am going to get done in time. I'll keep you posted!

There are also lots of Christmas events planned, which I'm excited for and of course the village panto takes place at the end of November. Woohoo!
