March 2021 Wrap-Up
It does not seem two minutes since I was here doing a monthly wrap-up and now I'm back to wrap-up March. Wowser! Spring has sprung, lambs are being born, the ducks at our local fishing lake have suddenly got romantic aspirations and we are about to celebrate Easter. I also must mention that in the UK we are starting to come out of lockdown, slowly. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I am of course looking forward desperately to seeing my family and friends again, but I've enjoyed a simpler and quiet life, appreciating the small details; A good cup of coffee, connecting with people, spending time with my wonderful husband. There is a lot we are going to take going forward. My appreciation of the NHS continues to have no bounds. I have had my vaccine and positively skipped out of the Doctor's surgery. And of course I've read lots of wonderful books. Let's get on with it shall we?
Books Read and Reviewed in March
- Rules for Perfect Murders by Peter Swanson
- The Red House Mystery by A.A. Milne

- Matilda by Roald Dahl
- The Shipyard Girls on the Home Front by Nancy Revell
5 Star Reads
One this month, and it was of course Beartown by Fredrik Landvik. This book was wonderful and important. I'm hoping to be doing a readalong soon to read the follow up and can't wait.
Big Read Challenge
Yes! I managed to read a book from the Big Read Challenge this month bringing my total up to 12 books read out of the 100. I should read another two books this next month all being well.

Goodreads Challenge
We are a quarter of the way through the year and I am a quarter of the way through my challenge. It's all going well, although I do think War and Peace will slow me down a bit. But I'll keep on truckin'.
To Be Read
Gaah! I did buy a couple of books this month, but am starting to make headway into my To Be Read Pile from 2020. I've done a quick tot up and I have 39 books to read.

Looking Forward To
I am doing a Buddy Read over on Instagram with my wonderful friend @fictionaddictionangela over on Instagram. We are reading War and Peace. I have read it before years ago, but I can't wait to read it again. I'm also looking forward to Easter. I love this time of year. I will be be back on Monday with a review of a lovely Spring read. In the meantime have a great weekend. xx
